  1. Organic content affects plant growth indirectly.  The higher the carbon content of the soil, the better it is at retaining water and the more suitable it is as a habitat for beneficial creatures ranging from earthworms to nitrogen-fixing microbes.

When soil is depleted of its organic content, its fertility can only be maintained (and not long at that) by use of chemical fertilizers.  In fact, chemical fertilizers have a long-term detrimental impact on soil's organic content as it tends to poison the aforementioned microbes and such.

  2. Organic matter in the soil improves soil texture, soil structure, aeration of the soil, water holding capacity, and drainage of excess water from plant roots.  In addition organic matter adds necessary soil nutrients back to the soil which are used by he plants.  All of these things improve plant growth.

  3. soil quality is deeply related to plant groth, you can get full information from agricultural offices in your locality

  4. The effect of organic matter in soil is great. It keeps the nutrient balance in soil intact. increases overall texture, structure and water holding capacity of soil thus overall environment of plant growth increases.
