How does the owner close his yahoo group?

Click on management lower left column.  In the next window click  on delete under delete group and follow the prompts

If you are the owner or a moderator with the assigned privilege, click on Management, under Group Settings, click Delete Group and confirm that you do want to Delete Group. Last step is giving your reason for deleting the group. Everything related to the group will be gone and you cannot reverse this action.

If you do not see Delete Group, you do not have the privilege to delete it.
