How does the placement of the weather stations affect the air temperature measurements?

  1. Putting it in the shade or near a vent of some kind could affect the readings.


  2. -placing it to close to the ground

    -placing it too high

    -placing it too close to a building

    -placing it in constant shade

    -placing it with obstructions (eg trees, buildings)

  3. basically you have to set it in a place where you can get a pure reading. Anything that could cause a discrepency, such as shade, buildings, temperature differentiables near the ground, etc. would give you something other than a pure reading for the air temperature.
