  1. Think along the lines of "With maturity comes wisdom and understanding."

There are numerous on line resources to help you with this novel, and with questions such as this one.  Many of them offer chapter summaries, list of characters, character sketches, discussions of themes, setting, imagery, and symbolism, etc.  Do a search for “study guides for To Kill a Mockingbird” etc., and you will find many sites.  Also, do a search here on yahoo answers for To Kill a Mockingbird and you will find a wealth of information.

  2. god don't kill mockingbirds XD

  3. This is because in To Kill a Mocking Bird (TKAM), the narrator is the little girl Scout Finch. At first, alot of what her father does, she sees to reason for. She doesn't understand why he does things the way he does. However, it is as she grows up that she realizes the undercurrents in society. She realizes why her father does things like that, why he allows himself to be spat upon without spitting back. Her father is the "all knowing god" to her, a paragon of virtue. He teaches her not to look down on blacks, and that there is a reason why people behave the way they do like old Mrs Dubose and sometimes you can find gold in characters you never expected, Mrs Dubose and Tom Robinson.

Her father is her guardian and "god" and teacher, and as she grows up she understands more and more who he is and why he is like that.

  4. I have never read that poem, but from the title I assume that you should compare Scout and Atticus' relationship to that of the poem's speaker and his/her father.
