Question:

How does the pulley on my lawnmower come off?

Im talking about the rear pulley I thought it would be easy because it only had one bolt in the middle but NO I took the one bolt off and tried to pull the pulley off but its not budging is there something special I need to do or do I just pull like He** ?

  1. Make sure there isn't another set s***w on the inner rim of the pulley, lubricate with wd 40 or 3 in1 oil then tap it lightly around the inside of the face of the pulley until it starts to wiggle then tap on opposite sides of the pulley to work it off the shaft.... or get a puller, but check for that set s***w, if there is a keyway it will be over that.


  2. Sounds like you have to pull harder on your pully.

    Be careful while pulling on your pully, you might hit yourself in the forhead if your hand slips off.

  3. Heat and corrosion is probably tying it onto the shaft. You may need a pulley puller and some WD-40.
