How does the respiratory and circulatory system work together....?

....to distribute oxygen to and remove carbon dixoide from the cells of the body?

  1. Well, the respiratory system oxygenates blood, and "purifies" it, while taking out the bad, unpurified blood (the blue blood), turning its contents into CO2 which we exhail.

    The blood is then returned throughout the body to oxygenate the cells, the red blood flows through the body (red = oxygenated), and the blue blood is the result of cell oxygenation. So once the red blood has distributed all the oxygen supplies it has, it retuns to the respiratory system through the heart, goes to the lungs and then re-oxygenates it. The process occurs repeatedly, and its how our cells breath, and gets rid of the not good blood (That sounds bad, I definitely forgot the word, i'm sure you can think of it though. Debris?)
