  1. 15,30,40, game. A tie at 40 is deuce, and you need to win by two. So if its deuce and you win the next point its your advantage. If you lose the next point then its back to deuce again.

  2. it goes 0,15,30,40,41,42

  3. it goes

    love  (or 0,0)

    15

    30

    45

duce if there is a tie

  4. You start out with

0-0 or some would say love-love

    and then it goes:

    15

    30

    40

    and then game point.

if you tie it's deuce, and depending on the rules of the game the game, next point wins, or you will have advantage in, or advantage out, depending on who scores.

i hope this helped a little bit.

  5. It takes 6 games to win a set, and you have to win by at least 2 (this means if the score is 6-5, the set is not yet over).  In the past, if a set ended at 6-6, you would keep playing until the final score of the set could be 8-6, 9-7, 10-8, etc.  However, because that can take an extremely long time, once a set goes to 6-6 a tie-breaker is now used in almost all cases, where the first player to get to 7 points wins, with each point played being worth one point.  The players alternate serves after two serves in the tie-breaker, and switch sides of the court after each six points have been played.  However, you have to win by at least 2 points to win the tie-breaker.  So a tie-breaker score could be something like 7-4, for example, or if neither leads by two when 7 points have been won, it could be 9-7, 10-8, etc.

The games are scored as love (zero), 15 (one), 30 (two), 40 (three) and game (four).  The server's score is always announced first, so if you hear a game score of 15-30, that means the server has won one point, and the server's opponent has won two points.  To win a game, you must win by at least two points, however.  If each player gets to 40, the score is announced as "deuce", which means the game is tied at three points each.  To win the game, you must win two consecutive points from this point.  If the server wins the first point after deuce, the score is announcer as "advantage in", or "ad in", while if the returner wins the first point after deuce, the score is announcer as "advantage out", or "ad out."  If the same person who won the first point (after deuce) wins the second as well, the game is over.  If the opposite player wins the second point, the score is back to deuce again.

It takes six games to win a set.

To win a match, in most cases it requires the winning of two sets, so it is essentially two out of three.  However, in men's professional tennis, they often play three out of five sets.

Also, one minor difference in scoring is at Wimbledon.  At every level, once a set is tied at 6 games each, you go to the tie-breaker to determine the winner of the set.  However, at Wimbledon if the final set (third set for women, fifth set for men) becomes tied at 6-6, you have to keep playing until the winning player has won by at least two games.  So you might see the final set at Wimbledon with a score like 12-10, for example.

    Hope that helps.

  6. So in a tennis match its either a best out of 3 set or a best out of 5 set match. In each set the player to win 6 games first wins that set. Each game is scored by points. If a player wins the first point its 15-0. If they win the second, third, and fourth points the scores would be 30-0, 40-0, and game respectively. However if the score in the set reaches 5-5 then the players try to get 7 games first. If the score becomes 6-6 then the players play a 7 point tiebreak.
