  1. A couple of thoughts

       You get an tourist spot that many people want to visit, you can get the problems of crime (lots of visitors with lots of money, easy to rob),  possible damage to the eco system (people disposing trash, waste, going where they should not go, etc.).  The impact is that if it is a popular spot, it is good for tourism and it can become a very large portion of the total GNP of the country.  However, in times of recession, when people cut back on travel, it has a huge impact on the country / area and many people are left without jobs.

      The impacts on environment can be widespread.  Take example the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, where the government controls about everything with the area as people have been destroying the enviornmnet.
