  1. As an example my 16.2hh, 17yr warmblood gets per day (at pasture 24/7):

    2 biscuits Oaten/Meadow Hay

    2 scoops (5L) - Oaten Chaff

    2 scoops (5L) - Lucerne Chaff

    2tsp - Glucosamine

    2tsp - Sea Salt

    2 heaped tbs - Equilibrium

    2 cups - Sunflower Seeds

2 flat tbs - Seaweed Meal

    2 cups - Millrun

2 litres - Rosehip Tea (I make it in a 20L container with 20 x tbs rosehip granules)

1/2 cup - Apple Cider Vinegar

    1/2 cup - Linseed Oil

Seasonal blend herbs atm he's on a winter blend ("to help ease any stiffness your horse may develop during the colder months.  The herbs selected for this blend are designed to warm the body from the inside by feeding the cells to stimulate an increase in blood flow, oxygen uptake and encourage appropriate immune responses.")

  2. well my 15.2 mare that doesn't do anything and lives on 20 acres full time gets,

    per day

    2 biscuits high quality lucerne

    2.5 kilos economix

1 kilo boiled or rolled barley

plus chaff mixed with the feed

i'd add chaff and another biscuit a day

  3. This sounds reasonable, so long as the horse has access to plenty of grass. If not, horses may require 6 slices of hay. Lucern Hay is very high in protein, good for young stock growing but not necesarily ideal for adult horses. In saying that mine get lucern also.... :) Happy riding.
