  1. The Crossbow they are using isn't standard. Its one they made, so it shoots a lot weaker and slower than a well made one.

  3. He watches as the arrow leaves the bow, and also watches the arrow as it flies towards him. He then times his "grab" for the moment the arrow reaches him.... From the perspective of the video, it appears that the arrow is aimed directly at the fool -- but this may not be the case.

    Whether the crossbow is "weak" or not, the arrow is still moving at a very respectable speed, and the short distance it has to travel before reaching the person catching it negates any "slowness" it may have. And from what I saw, it looks like that arrow is moving plenty fast.

    It would have been much better had the video been shot from the other side, with the open door behind the camera -- instead of in front of it. All that "back lighting" made the actual subject far too dark to see.
