To Whom It Concerns,

Thank you for the opportunity to work at Fred Meyer. I have truly enjoyed and benefited from my time of employment here. However, I have made the recent decision to focus solely on my education, and therefore no longer work. This letter is to formally announce my resignation from Fred Meyer, effective August 31, 2008.

Regards,

Kari [my last name]

Does this sound okay?

  1. I would just take out "and therefore no longer work". Otherwise, it sounds perfect!

  2. It sounds good, but I would change the line that says "and therefore no longer work" to "and therefore I no longer wish to be employed by Fred Meyer"

Also, take the "Fed Meyer" out of the last line so it reads "This letter is to formally announce my resignation, effective 8/31/08."

  3. that sounds very good,

I;'m sure that freddy's could use more people like you, since they always seem to be shorthanded.

  4. Pretty good.

  5. Thank you for the opportunity to work at Fred Meyer. I have enjoyed and benefited from my time here. I made the recent decision to focus solely on my education, and suspend my career for now. This letter serves as formal notification of resignation from Fred Meyer, effective August 31, 2008.
