so i'm hungry and want to make something with asparagus for dinner. i'm thinking steamed lemon pepper asparagus cut up and put in a pasta of linguine and meatless tomato sauce. maybe a little parmesean or something on top. i'm not too sure though, i don't want to make something gross. would a lemon pepper butter sauce be better than the tomato sauce? what do you think?

  1. Lemon pepper sauce, (add some garlic) would be MUCH better then the red sauce.  It sounds wonderful.  You could also saute the asparagus in olive oil and some garlic while the noodles are cooking.  Then when the pasta is done add to the asparagus, season with lemon pepper seasoning, toss and top with parmesan cheese.  Good idea:-)

  2. I think the taste of tomato would overpower the lemon pepper of the asparagus.

Asparagus has a delicate taste IMO.

  3. sounds good to me, but yeah...maybe i'd go with the lemon butter sauce

  4. your recipe sounds allright i would chose the tomato sauce.

  5. I wouldn't mix the two, but serve them separately.  Pasta with the asparagus on the side.  That would work.

  6. Use olive oil instead of butter, its lighter. I would suggest adding celery and carrots cut up small.

  7. I like the recipe. Nice recipe!

  8. That sounds great! I would probably use the tomato sauce. You dont want too much lemon. It would probably over the asparagus. Parmesean sounds wonderful. Good Luck!
