  1. don tak them..

  2. I think you'll do very well.

You can also add some SAM-e and think about changing your diet. A couple of anti-depression programs are The Mood Cure

    and Potatoes Not Prozac

    http://www.amazon.com/Potatoes-Seven-Ste...

PS Drugs are made from chemicals. SJW is made from a plant.

  3. what do you think St John's Wort is?  Most antidepressants come from plant material, so they are no different that St John's Wort, simply more purified and concentrated, so your rationalization about taking it doesn't hold water kid.

As for the other treatments you mention, they might help, they might not, all you can do is try, to see if they do.

  4. Especially the exercise!

B vitamins?  B long from Montiff is your best bet... Google them.

    Acupuncture?  Great treatment.

St. John's Wart? Make sure its a "nutraceutical" a regulated product that has not lost its efficacy through processing.

    But, most importantly is exercise!

I know of other ways to help support your ability to have an emotional floor and maintain overall wellness naturally, so you can discuss this with me.

I will share my family members who have suffered depression and have gotten off of all medications and how they did it.  It's all unique, but offers knowledge as an educated mind will make an educated decision.

  5. It sounds like self care - and that is really important for overcoming depression.  Also, look at your diet and think about doing a liver cleanse.

As far as taking herbs, remember that while pharmaceuticals are chemicals, many are closely related to the plants they are derived from in nature.  A good example of this is kava kava, which is very similar to xanex.  So... if you are taking these, let your doctor know so that you can have regular blood work done.

I had been taking kava kava for stress, and ended up doing some liver damage.  Just read labels and don't overuse.   Nurture yourself, and eat whole foods that are minimally processed, if at all (ie no diet pop, no Kraft mac & cheese).

  6. sounds like you're determined to get better, and thats the most important part. citrus oils are also a big help. yes they are all very good. just try to get your b vitamins from food instead of pills (liver, vegies, seeds, oats)

  7. All are good options.  Also helpful are Gingko Biloba, and inhaling essential oil of cloves.

    Best of luck.

  8. Your entire list sounds great.  I have heard many people say that this product has also helped them with depression.  You may want to give it a try.  I use it and love it (although I am using it for its other health benefits and not for depression).  BTW, I am not trying to sell you the product.  In fact, I don't sell it.  This just happens to be the site where I also purchase it.  Good luck.
