  1. The simplest answer to this is what do you like?  Most newer golfers only seem to chip with one club nowdays anyway....no matter where they are chipping from........bounce depends more on the course conditions you normally play on.  My advice is to try them all and pick the one you like the best....no matter what anyone else says.....you are the one that is going to have to play it.

  2. use the 58 for chipping with a normal bounce. it will cut through the rough nice.  i would say to get a titleist vokey wedge, but its all up to you.

  3. im sorry but if you think cg12's are better than vokeys...you dont know how to use them.  and if you are a golfer you dont have one select club you chip with.  you chip with almost ANY club.  i regularly use anywhere from a 6 iron right through flop wedge depending on the situation.  and the bounce is relative to turf conditions...hard ground, low bounce will work better.  sand and soft surfaces go with high bounce.  a lot of more experienced golfers will have a low bounce sand and high bounce sand wedge in their bags at all times.

And to the guy above me...CHIP from 50 yards in?  LOL dude you know out there its called a PITCH shot right?

  4. What's the loft on your gap wedge? Mine is 52 and if your's is the same, you might want a little bigger gap in between your wedges. I carry 52, 56 & 60 degree Vokey wedges and generally use the 52 for pitching / chipping. It depends on how you play the shot though, so if the 54 degree sand wedge works for you stick with it. In my experience, the 58 degree is a little too much for most chips, I would use the 54 or gap wedge more often.

  5. What cobra do you have? I love the Cobra Carbon CB and the Pro CB 50 degree gap wedge.

You can chip with either the 54 or 58. More bounce would mean a tougher chip from a tight lie but will be great around the rough as it'll slide right under the ball if its up a little.

I would say use the higher loft for downhill chips and the 54 for every other chip 50 yards and in .
