Use this to keep up on information about Yahoo!Answers and within it's community.

You find a category if your good at answering questions and are knowledgable. By Answering questions you attain points.

You start at Level 1. Answering questions gains 2 points. Best answer chosen gains 10. Voting for questions is 1.

As weeks go on and you gain levels you can be given "gifts" by Yahoo , such as a swag and a Live Badge, which will be found on your Profile page.

As far as I know, the points accumulating are not for cashing in. They only hold point value to reach the top of the leaderboard.

As you keep coming back you will learn something else about Answers such as Knowledge Partners. http://answers.yahoo.com/info/knowledge_...

The partners contribute to the Answer community also. Feel free to find them and ask them questions.

When you choose a question you will see "Answer this Question ( in blue) " Be ready to answer once you click. A green screen will come up. Use the source box for posting links and any information which would help

give the person who asked, a reference to how you have this information and shows where you got it from.

Once you are done you click preview.... look your answer over...click modify for changes (if needed)

then click submit. You've answered a question. Once this question goes within a certain time limit the asker can choose best answer or let it lapse for voting.

Keep note on the page of all the additional items such as Interesting/Email/Save. Clicking Interesting gives the question a star. Save gives you the option for keeping it in your watchlist which is found on your Profile page.

Their are other options available on Save; just mouse over and you'll see them.  There is more. Keep coming back. You'll learn. It's a pretty cool thing to do on a Friday/Saturday night when nothing else to do.

Especially when you have seen Forrest Gump a zillion times..... "Mama is a smart lady"

Note: review these, the Yahoo Terms of Service, so as not to run into trouble and be watchful for questions you don't really have to answer.

Others will read your answers and these are real questions for real people.
