...is it necessary to have a lid? What if the fish try to jump out? How does this work??

I would like to get a light like that, but my fish are particularly "jumpy".

So, does anybody have experience with these lights?

  1. Wow that aquariam is beautiful. Well Done. Just put a Glass cover or maybe the screen from a screen door. Hope this helps. Good luck with your fish.

  2. i just simply use a glas top on my tank

which is just 2 parts together that you can open it up easily

  3. i use a glass top. this type of light is used mostly on marine aquariums

  4. You could probably get a clear glass or plastic "cover" to go over the tank so you could use that light.  This would also reduce the amount of evaporation from your tank, which is significant when there is no lid.
