  1. Wasting energy effects the environment because most energy is created/comes from coal-powered plants. Carbon emissions from coal generated power plants are very high, so leaving things running, or even plugged in uncessarily causes significant carbon emissions to enter the atmosphere and contribute to global warming.

  2. Some energies can be renewed but the one which cannot be renewed needs material which come from the environment.

By wasting these materials from the environment have long term consequences to the environment.

  3. Let me give you an example.  Say you have your car running but not going anywhere and just waiting, the energy is wasted, producing exhaust and carbon dioxide that affects the environment in more ways than one.

There are other examples my friends from outside of America observes in Restaurants in America.  Customers are served drinking water with ice cubes.  In the majority of the case, when the customer left, more than half of glasses are still pretty full with ice cube which takes a lot of energy to make.  That energy is so wasteful to what end?

Lots more examples around the world of energy waste that affect the environment.  Just look around you.

  4. the creation of energy ,requires coal , gas .petroleum or wood ,amongst others (like Sun Nuclear ,Water power,Wind ;tides )

and to waste it --means you come back for more ,and so putting unnecessary stress on Natural resources ,

secondly the creation of energy in many case produces contaminating side effects .like the smoke from industrial chimneys and in the making of electricity .

and again Nature is on the recieving end
