  1. Drinking water cools your mouth the same as pouring it on your skin: if the water is cooler than your skin, heat is transferred by conduction, and more heat is removed as the water evaporates.  After you drink water, it gets converted to perspiration, and that helps your whole body cool off as it evaporates.

  2. Water has a very high specific heat capacity; basically, it takes a lot of energy to heat a gram of water by one degree Celsius relative to other substances (metals in particular). When cooler water is in contact with your warmer skin, it's taking energy in the form of heat from your body. That cools you down.

  3. FAIL.

Um ya why don't you try that one again.

This time think about what you are writing. No one has any idea what you meant to ask.

  4. When it's in the form of sweat?

As it evaporates, it cools the body down.
