How does weed get you high?

I'm going to be writing an essay on weed. And i would like to know how exactly weed gets you high.

This is not for school, i'm out of school, but i'm submitting it to a paper.

you have natural cannibinoids in your brain that connect to cannabinoid receptors. THC is similar to cannibinoids and they fit to link to the cannibinoid receptors. the THC binds to every single receptor wich ur natural cannibinoids do not, making you high.

Marijuana, is cannabis, cannabis contains the compound THC. Tetrahydro...something haha i actually can't remember (maybe i smoked a lil too much myself!)

The THC in the cannabis impinges on the central nervous system it attaches to brain's neurons and interfers with normal communication between the neurons.For example, if a nerve is suppose to assist one in retrieving short-term memory, THC receptors make them do the opposite. So if one has to remember what he did five minutes ago, after smoking a high dose of marijuana, he has trouble. Marijuana plant contains 400 chemicals and 60 of them are cannabinoids, which are psychoactive compounds that are produced inside the body after cannabis is metabolized or is extorted from the cannabis plant.
