How does wind impact upon the overall weather and climate?

For my geography assignment, I'm researching on wind, and this is one of my questions. I know that tornadoes impact on climate and weather, but is there anything else?

Monsoon winds are good example.India experiences one of the important monsoon winds in the world.During the period June to September,South-west monsoon blows over India bringing lot of rain to the country and India's agriculture solely depends upon this rain and thus monsoon plays an important role in deciding the climate of India.

Jet streams in the upper levels sometimes decide the path of tropical cyclones.

Local winds like sea breeze,land breeze,Katabatic winds,anabatic winds etc.decides the weather and climate of certian places.Land breeze and Sea breeze make the weather and climate of coastal stations more moderte.Katabatic winds and Anabatic winds influence the weather and climate of places situated at the bottom or on the slopes of mountains.

Sometimes, prevailing winds(the winds blowing from a particular direction during most part of the year over a place) decide the weather of a place as they normally carry the temperature of the place of origin.Sometimes they get modified on its way owing to the different surfaces(land and ocean)over which it is blowing and the wind therefore arrives at a place as warm or cold current according to the track it has followed.Such winds sometimes blow during the entire season(as hot or cold winds) affecting the climate of the place.
