First let me say its sad that a little girl is missing or that her mom might have had something to do with it or know where she is. Having said that though I have to ask what is the big deal with the woman in jail in florida who supposeably did something with her daughter? What does she have to gain? What does the mom stand to gain by her missing daughter? Is mommy covering up an affair, a pregnancy, or after money? I just dont get the big deal especially regarding the mom how does she stand to gain that makes her such a prime suspect?

  1. The child was missing for 28 days before the mother told anyone that the baby was missing.

The mother didn't want to report the child as missing. The grandmother called the police against the mother's objections. The mother then gave police multiple conflicting stories about what happened.

The mother attended parties at a bar during the 28 days that the baby was missing before it was reported to the police. The mother posted pictures from these parties on her MySpace page. In the pictures she's drinking, smiling and having a good time. She even does a L*****n dance where she fondles another woman's breats. Not exactly the behavior of a worried and concerned mother with a missing child.

The police suspect that the mother killed the child so she could take up her partying life style without encumbrances. Without the body the only thing they can prove is neglect.

  2. The most likely scenario is that the mother slapped the child too hard causing an accidental death. She buried the child in a remote location and then walked away from the situation and lied about it until it would be hard to pin it on her because the evidence had been washed away. She apparently is not too bright in this scenario because she did not clean up her mess and evidence in her car.

Her story has changed and has not been substantiated. Most likely she is guilty of manslaughter. However, there are many other scenarios that might explain the circumstantial evidence. Perhaps another person was guilty of the crime and she is helping to cover it up or she may simply be fearful that she would not have been believed given the incredible truth.

  3. If she killed her daughter either by accident or out of anger.  Then it's her freedom she has to gain by hiding the murder from the authorities.

  4. I think she simply sold the child for money for drugs. I think that is why she didn't report her missing for such a long time. I think she was under the impression she could get her back. We shall see.

  5. The police usually don't share all the facts with the public about crimes. I think they certainly do have something "on" this woman, it just hasn't been released yet.  We will find out soon, I am curious to know what the deal is, too.
