Thanks!

  4. My 14yo 9th grader does 6 - 10 5 days a week but not STRAIGHT.

He takes breaks when he needs.

  5. We're unschoolers. our kids learn 24/7, but I don't force them to sit down and learn.  My 12 (almost 13 yo) chooses to sit down for a couple of hours to learn what he's really interested in, programming, chemistry, astronomy, algebra/trig, and biology.

  6. That sounds like a pretty rigorous schedule. One of the joys of homeschooling is that we can have a flexible schedule and it takes only a couple of hours to learn what they learn in a day in public school. It sounds like you're not very happy with your system. Have you tried talking to your parents?

  7. Public school is way better, at least for social reasons, your mom should help you out with that.

  8. Around here, for gr. 7, typically, 3-4 maximum. For high school, 4-6 hours.
