  1. I'm a Lions suppporter and I'm not playing, 1 less chance to see my team live in 2008, only 11 home games compared with 12 that they have had for the passed few years.  Other than that can't complain only have to go to Perth & Adelaide once.  The first couple of round are all against finalist from 07, so that might test, but we should be right.

  2. As I am not a Collingwood supporter I am not happy with the draw.

  3. Ok 4 da Cats but we should be at home round one not away.

  4. From a Hawthorn point of view, it's a pretty good draw with 14 games in Melbourne (7 home games and 3 away at MCG and 4 away games at the Dome) and 4 in Tassie.  It means we travel 8 times but 4 of those are to Tassie where our record is pretty good.

I think it's been a good draw for Hawthorn as far as home games and Melbourne based games go ...... Overall pretty happy.

  5. Swans have a tough start to the year playing Port, Brisbane (gabba) WC and Geelong all in the first 5 weeks. We are playing two away matches in Canberra which is good because swans are more supported there than the 'home' teams. Also good is that our run home is tough, we play geelong, collingwood and brisbane which means we enter the finals (hopefully) used to playing hard games. Our run home this year was terrible because we played the four bottom teams all in a row so when we hit the tough final we weren't used to it.

We only go to WA once which is good and there are four blockbusters at the larger capacity Telstra stadium which earns good money for us as well as being great games.

All up pretty happy about it except for the tough start but then again that is the best time to play the good teams when maybe they haven't quite hit their straps.

  6. dunno havent checked. I might check later and edit....or I'll jus wait til next yr nm get th tippin thingy

  7. Yep - thanks to you and GFC-B for pointing that out.

I'm peeeeeeeved, whing, whinge, whine, whine, whinge ...

Cats-Collingwood on FRIDAY 23 May.  I have that targeted as a must see game and Friday's a real shocker for me to get to.  However, get there I will.  That's my only whinge.

Just curious - how come the opening block buster (PA-Cats) is at AAMI?  We won, I would have thought you'd fly the flag at your HOME ground in the opening round.  That was always the tradition when I played.  OK it would have to be hoisted at the G probably, but AAMI?  Perhaps we could ask Chocco and crowd to fly it at AAMI???!!! :-)

Otherwise interesting, the Cats play all the teams that should be turning the corner in the first 7 or 8 rounds in ascending order of how likely they are to improve I reckon (Ess, Mel, Syd, Freo, Bris, Rich, Carl).  That should be a good benchmark test for each of them but it's a pretty soft opening to the season for us (Another June Premiership coming up?)

  8. Swannies as per Conda's comments...however as a WA resident I really wish we had 2 games here- or at least an afternoon match so that dragging the kids four hours to the game was a bit easier, and post match meet and greet would be possible. Oh well life is never easy on the far side of the continent!LOL

  9. Extremely happy with the fixture and favors Collingwood quite well ;)

I'm not happy that Round 22 sees us travelling to Fremantle :(

Big breaks between travelling interstate with lots of home games concurrently.

Oh the Collingwood haters are gonna be maaad!!  hehehe

  10. well carlton are a melbourne club

so we didnt get the best draw like the intersters
