I am a parent volunteer in my child's school. He is 11 years old. In his school, there is a pupils' suggestion scheme which is held termly. Pupils can drop their suggestions termly in a designated box. According to my boy, he says response is just ok because the pupils just get prizes when their suggestions are accepted. There's no real involvement.

As a parent volunteer, I would like to assist the school in making some improvementsand changes to the existing pupils' suggestion scheme.

However, my problem is that I don't have very good ideas in mind now AND I have no ideas howschools in other countries are involving their pupils in decision-making pertaining to the school. So how can I help?

If you can't help me with this, I'll appreciate if you know how other schools are doing in this area. Thanks!

  1. We have a suggestion box and it is checked weekly, All good ideas are then submitted to the student council where there they are then acted upon. Some may end up at the next school board meeting.

  2. my schools not doing much... we dont even have a suggestion box. If you're not on the student council... you don't matter. I'm in 7th grade.
