Start by writing a good business plan.  You can get help from your local Small Business Administration office (you can look them up in yellow pages).  You also may have a Small Business Development Center and there is also a group of retired businessmen & women that provide advice to new business people called S.C.O.R.E.  And...........all of these services are free!  Just contact anyone of these groups and they can assist you in getting to the others.
