He will be splitting touches, but you have to imagine that he will still get to run the ball a pretty good number of times. He put on a clinic against one of the best defenses in college football last year @ LSU. Can his skills translate to huge gains for Oakland in his first NFL game?

  1. I dont think he will be dominant per say, but he will definitely have a good game...he has alot of talent and will probably get around 80-90 yds. and a TD tonite.....

  2. He won't be, Fargas will get the majority of the touches.

  3. The Raiders open up against the Broncos Monday Night.  I don't think he will get more than 15 carries, but he should have a decent average on those carries.

  4. pretty good and he is not playing the rams the eagles are and they are going to win i think they are playing the i forhet

  5. I think he's going to be a flop.  Wouldnt rely on him much

  6. 1. The Raiders are playing Denver in their season opener

    2. McFadden will not be a factor in the game

  7. Well, they aren't playing the Rams, they are playing the Broncos. But, I do think he can put on a decent little show. It will be interesting to see how him and JaMarcus Russell mix, because if they mix well, look out for the future. I will predict that DMac breaks off for a few 20+ yard runs, but I don't see him stacking up a bunch of total yards, maybe 80 tops.

  8. Don't listen to any of these dumbasses that say McFadden won't be a factor.  He will run over the Bronco Defense to make a statement in his first NFL game.  He is a dominate back and he will be for years.  Not starting won't slow him down.

They didn't sign him for $60,000,000 to sit behind Fargas for more than a few minutes.

  9. My guess is he will be able to run all over the field without being touched by 1 Rams defender, considering that the Raiders are playing the Broncos not the Rams!

However, against the Broncos he will go for 80-95 yards with 1 TD the Broncos' run defense should be easy to run on. With that being said, he could be forced to a lesser role depending on Justin Fargas' production early in the game.

  10. the rams and raiders are two terrible teams.   both have oline problems.

Mcfadden should have a good  first game  about 10-15 carries  about 75 yds  maybe a TD

  11. Eh... tough call. Little known fact. The Raiders' had the nation's 3rd best rushing attack BEFORE adding McFadden. But still, based on the $s that they shelled out for him and the fact that Kiffin seems reluctant to use JR's arm for deep passes, they'll be relying on him a lot... if not in this game, then in the near future. I just wouldn't expect any Peterson-type numbers.
