How dose girl get engaged with a band? Did you get married with a band?

If a girl want a band gold to be married with. dose she wear her wedding band as an engagement ring? or is there an other ring? how do you get engaged with a band?

This is one of those things where you can pretty much do what you want! However I hate that answer, so I will elaborate.

Tradition says that the woman gets an engagement ring which is a gold diamond ring, and the wedding ring is a plain gold band that matches the husband's.

However, these days, you can have the male and female with an engagement ring, and both with a wedding ring too.

Also, these days, you can change the colour - gold, silver, white gold, platinum etc. And you dont need a stone in the engagement ring. Or if you do want one, you can have say, a ruby if red is your favourite colour. Or none at all if that is not your type.

Feel free to experiment and get whatever rings suit your taste and style.

I know a couple that just got engaged and she didn't want a traditional engagement ring (with one big diamond) she wanted a band that had a pattern with tiny diamonds along it (it was a lot less expensive too).

But because the band is so ornate she doesn't want to wear an additional band with it, even one that is plain, so that ring is both her engagement ring and wedding band.  The day of the wedding she is just going to give the ring to her groom and he will give it back to her during the ceremony.

It's a bit untraditional, but it's what she wants, so there is nothing wrong with that!

You don't have to have a traditional engagment ring.  If you only want a wedding band then just get a wedding band that your new hubby will place on your finger during the wedding ceremony.  

While it may be typical to have two rings - the engagement ring and the wedding ring it is not some sort of requirement!

If you are worried people won't believe you are engaged unless you have an engagement ring why don't you get a vintage or unique ring that you like and wear it on your left hand.  At the wedding ceremony you replace it with the band that you want to wear all the time and you take this other "engagement" ring and you wear it whenever you want on your right hand.
