In my Grandma's apartment building, she had bed bugs. However i nor she knows where they came from. She is a neat freak and always spraying around the house. She lives in the 'project' however, she has the most cleanest and pest free apartment within it. How could she have ever gotten a "bed Bugs" if not even a single cockroach has been spotted within my Grandmothers apartment? (and believe me, there she is cockroaches with others apartments)

  1. Even the cleanest of people can get bed bugs, if the people in the surrounding apartments have them and the infestion gets bad enough they will travel to other apartments. A simple vaccum and washing of the sheets does not get rid of them. They need to be treated by an experienced pest professional. I wish you the best and if you need anything feel free to ask.

  2. Bed bugs can move around from place to place.  A visitor can bring them in.  They can be picked up in someone else's apartment.

  3. they can breed in the matresses etc and can get in anywhere.

changing the sheets regularly will help. and if she already has them then get  a new bed soon as and vacuum the whole place.

  4. They can come over from a neighboring apartment or if yoru friends stayed at a hotel or friends place that had them they may have hitched a ride back.

She needs to deal with them before they get really bad.

  5. there are a lotta ways to get bed bugs.  could be through other people, birds, cracks in your home.    keeping the sheets clean seems to be one of a bunch of preventative steps.
