Go to Yahoo 360, upload a picture (you'll find out how), then, go to your profile "My Profile" button and then click edit then choose icon, avatar, or 360 pictures or something like that

You need to make a Yahoo 360 account first before you do anything. Once you do, you upload a picture for your 360 profile. When you get back into your YA! account, you edit your public info, and you click on the picture that you've made as your 360 profile pic into your new avatar. I hope this helps! It took me a while to get that to, so I would say experiment a bit.
