  1. in a nut shell electricity is created when a turbine is revolved to generate an electrical charge which in turn is then channelled into cables and sent into the grid 1)hydro electric is when the water from a river or dam is forced into a pipe and into the fines of a turbine hence turning the turbine creating electricity2)wind the wind turn the blades of the wind mill3)nuclear causing a nuclear reaction to heat water to boiling point causing steam and the steam turns the turbines4)tidal power plants when the tide comes in it turns the turbines and then as the tidal waters recede the reverse happens and the turbines are powered by the receding waters5)Geo thermal the same but using natures own heat source to power the turbines hope this helps
