  1. Depends how far you have to travel 2 airport. ours ticket counters here open at 5a.m. and when I had to be there by 4:30a.m. passengers were linen up. 2 be safe be in line by 5:30 tops and during Holidays the lines get messy and double triple and be in line 2 or 3 hours is fair ,but depends how big the airport is you going 2.

  2. It depends if you are doing domestic or international flight.  For domestic flights, most say that you want to check-in 1 hour before departure, so that means you need to be at the airport check in desk no later that 6 a.m. You didn't say how long it will take you to get to the airport from your departure place.  If you know it will take you 1 hour to drive to the airport, figure you must leave your departure place by 5 a.m. so allow how every long it takes you to get ready in the morning and that will tell you what time you need to get up and get out the door, I would allow at least 15 minutes to get out the door.  So figure you must leave no later that 5 a.m. but say instead I must leave at 4:45 a.m.  Hope this helps.

  3. I personally like to get to the airport with plenty of time in case of anything that could possibly go wrong. Security takes a long time, and baggage, and you have to factor in all of that type of stuff. Depending on how far away your house is to the airport, I always arrive no later than 2 hours before my plan leaves. I normally leave out of Newark or Philadelphia which are about an hour from where I live. If I had a 6:50am flight, I would leave my house no later than 3:30-3:45. you really don't want to miss your plan in case something goes wrong, I always say it's a lot better to be way too early, to be 1 second late.

Hope this helps & good luck! (:

  4. if you fly a lot i would say only give yourself about an hour. so saying that you live about 2 seconds away from the airport, you should leave at 5:50am. but it takes a while to check in, and go through security, and get to the gate. but with it being so early not too many people should be there. and you might want breakfast or you might want to shop around, either way, i'd leave and give yourself enough time to have an hour in the airport.

  5. depends on how far away you live from the airport but i would get up at 3 and leave at 4 or 4:30

  6. Brook, it depends on what airport you are leaving from and how long it takes to get there from your house. Many airports, both large and small, are extremely busy for the first flights out in the day. So, plan on arriving at the airport AT LEAST 1 hour prior to departure of your flight, which would be 5:50AM and allow an extra 15 minutes to drive to the airport over your normal driving time. Keep in mind that if you miss your flight, it will probably cost you at least $100, so get there early and relax at the boarding area.

    Regards,

    Dan

  7. I'd try to be at the gate 30 minutes before departure, add perhaps another 30 minutes for check-in and the security check (which shouldn't be so bad that early in the morning, although a Friday is more crowded... perhaps figure in a bit more time), so you should be at the airport at least an hour before the flight departs. Now you just need to know how long your commute to the airport will take. Remember that you may have to park your car somewhere and get from the parking lot to the airport.

  8. Id say around 4:45 to allow time for security, check in,and any other before flight needs.
