How early can kids go to school?

they can go To school when they hit 4....Usually for half a day though. Preschool's will not take them if they are not potty trained

Childern can go to school as early as 2. My little boither began at age 2.  An advantage of kids going to school is they learn more and will have a greater idea of their future. A disadavntage is not being to spend time with their parent as much...Hope this helps!!!

Do you mean starting your child in kindergarten at 4? I was 4 when I started and my parents have always said they wish they had waited another year. I wish they had waited.

When you as a parent feel that your child is really ready to handle it. You as a tenitive parent will know.

Some parents take their kids to school at the age of 5. I go to school at the age of 6.

There are some great preschools for children to begin their education. Only you know your children and if they can take the pressure. In one way it's great for children to begin to learn, and to inter act with others. But at the same time they begin to get pressured with dead lines and tests.

Public school? Like Kindergarten? Well, that would depend on the area/district in which you live. Where I live it is close to age 6. My husband started at age 4, but was mistake on his mom's behalf then when they caught it, they tested him and he was genius so was actually pushed ahead yet another grade.

My kids attend montessori school and my youngest is 2.5 and started this sept one week b4 turning 2.5yrs. I think that is the very youngest.

I do not know of experienced any disadvantages of children attending school too soon. Maybe if they attend too many hours away from home and family..yes... as that is where they should be receiving the most important education.

Two or three year olds can start going to school, but it all depends on the child's maturity and learning style.

If you are able to provide a learning environment for your child at home (i.e. teach them numbers, read to them, etc), then it is far better for your child to remain at home until age 4 or so.  Honestly, I never went to preschool.  Instead my parents taught me reading, math and geography, so I was very much ahead of my classmates when I started kindergarten despite the fact that they went to preschool.

Another disadvantage of preschool is that your child will pick up bad habits from the other kids (most kids that young are easily influenced), so you have to make sure your child actually listens to you, otherwise you'll have a hard time trying to undo the poor influences.

If you don't have time to teach your child, then I guess preschool is the best option.
