  1. I would not wait until they are adopted no one wants a wormy puppy.

You can get worm-er at pets stores it should tell the age and weight on it.

I would however recommend taking a stool sample by the vet to see what kind of worms they have because not all dewormers get rid of all worms. The vet will probably give you enough meds.for the whole litter and it may be cheaper than what you buy at the Pet stores.

  2. hi,

Just about every dog on the planet is infested with worms to some degree. If they stay at low levels, your dog can build up immunity to them. But if the infestation reaches a certain point, worms can cause anemia, lethargy, poor appetite, and even death. Fortunately, almost all worms can be detected by a vet and treated with medication.

    hope this helps.

  3. I would start deworming now, i think u can do it at 4 weeks

  4. Initiate treatments at 2 weeks; repeat at 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age.

For a puppy at increased risk, also treat at 10 and 12 weeks, and then monthly until the puppy is 6 months old.

Thereafter, use a heartworm preventive medication that is also effective against hookworms and roundworms.

  5. I HAVE 6     1 WEEK OLD PUPPIES JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH VET THEY SAY YOU CAN DO IT NOW BECAUSE 95% OF PUPPIES HAVE THEM WHEN BORN

  6. Worm them now!  You can do puppies these days, with the better wormers available, at 2/3 weeks quite safely.  No point feeding worms I always say!

  7. Call your vet. they will want to know the weight of the puppy but they should be abel to help you

  8. aw how cute!

it depends on all dogs, my pup hers less then 10 weeks

  9. 4-5 weeks is when you do their first worming. They should be wormed every week after that as well, until they go to their new homes.

    Good luck!

  10. Worming should start at 2 weeks and then, depending on which worming treatment you use, again at 5, 8 and 12 weeks (using Panacur) or 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 (Drontal Liquid).

Deworming a puppy is vital, I read a page written by a woman the other day who's puppy had seizures and died due to not being wormed early enough.

  11. You can deworm them now although you should make sure you get the correct medication appropriate for their age as they are very young and worming medication is very strong.

  12. You would need to the worming treatment, From the vets. And thats the right age:).
