How early is too early to mow your lawn on a weekday?

So no earlier than say 9am?

Anything before 9am may be disturbing to neighbors who may be sleeping or have kids who sleep in a bit. Basically keep it around the time business hours begin.

Well our neighbours are an elderly couple on the attached sidee of our house.. he will mow the lawn at 7.30 am on a weekday even if they are retired... x*x

Generally wait until 9.  But honestly, this is a "rare" event, it's not like you're doing this all the time.  So if you want to catch the garbage guy, do it up.  Don't feel bad about it.  By 6-7, most people working are awake.  So, if you want to do 7 then go for it.  Pretty much, wait as long as you can.  

If someone bugs you, just say you're sorry, you just wanted to give the garbage guy your clippings.  It's better than leaving your clippings to rot for a week!

If your neighbors on both sides work and there are no kids that might sleep late and no one just had a baby and there are no elderly people living in those homes then I think you could start mowing about 8:00am.

On a weekday most people will be up by 7am. Anything earlier than that may be disturbing some neighbors, especially anyone who may be retired and doesn't have to be up in the morning.

I would say 8 am is reasonable, but it is actually a bad time to mow.  Early in the morning the grass is all wet from dew, and it is really bad for your lawn mower to mow it wet.  Late afternoons are a better time for everyone involved.

In general, 9 AM is safe.  I would say that anything before 8 AM is really pushing the bounds of good manners.  So, mowing before the garbage is collected is probably too early, as most residential areas I know have their garbage collected way before 8 AM.

People sleep all kinds of hours, so no pleasing everyone.

My grass is usually wet til noon anyway
