How easy/difficult is it to find work in the USA as an early childhood teacher?

I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.

I'm currently teaching at a state school in Queensland.

I'm a fully-registered teacher.

Clarification:

my definition of "easy" -- e.g. many vacancies, overseas qualification accepted

"difficult" --- e.g. they don't welcome overseas preschool/kindy teachers

  1. There are more vacancies in the special education pre school education.  But you would have to get certified in the state you plan to teach and certification requirements vary from state to state. You would have to go online and check out those requirements.

  2. theres no bias if ur qualified then ur qualified

and if u have that nice aussi accent lol ur charm will get u a job easy. my best friend is from england and omg he got offered so many jobs and im assuming ur a women and most principles are men so thats good for you ;)

  3. Each state has different requirements regarding certification, but it's relatively simple once you have your formal education.

As long as you have the right qualifications (i.e. certification, education, etc.) it should be relatively easy if there is an opening. The only way someone else would be chosen over you is if the other person has more in-classroom experience or has previous experience with that particular school.

Who knows, you may even get hired over others because they think your accent and previous location brings some "culture" to the school/classroom!
