  1. I have an better, easier and much cheaper idea...

Go to the bus station across from Ben Thanh Market. Hop on either Bus #1 or Bus #2. I think #2 goes to Cho Lon and #1 goes to Tan Son Knut. Sit in the back so you get a more comfortable ride. Ride the bus till the end and ride it back. The cost will be about 20 cents (3,000 VND) one way, but the experience is worth many times more.

If you want a real adventure. Take the bus to Cu Chi. The first thing you will realize is how close the Viet Cong were to Saigon, because Cu Chi is literally within Ho Chi Minh City and you just took a city bus to get there. You will also realize how quickly the city turns into the jungle in Southeast Asia.

Another thing about riding a bus in any country is you see the people in that country first hand. No tourist trap settings. It the raw depiction of how people really live that you're not going to read in a tour guide or experience on a guided tour.

Oh.. and you don't need to go online to make reservations.

    Have a great time!

  2. u can find Viettravel agency to take a city tour.it's easy for u.

  3. Don't go there. When I went I almost got into a fight with the locals on the street. One guy bumped into my girlfriend and when I confronted him we got into a fist fight and he proceeded to call me a "Dirty Evil American". I guess thats what their communist government lets them see on the Communist Government run channels.

    -Good Luck and Have Fun!!

  4. It's very easy.  I recommend you go to the Pham Ngu Lao St.  There are so many travel agencies there.  The prices are really cheap.   You can go to Cu Chi Tunnel for only 4usd.  To the Mekong Delta for 8USD.

  5. It's very easy! Book it at any travel agent or online.

Price varies depending transport, time, things visited etc.

other wise buy a map and walk the streets, it's great fun and you'll see heaps!

    Have a great trip!

  6. Easy - but it all depends on your definition of a City Tour. Get a GOOD knowledgeable Cyclo driver and ask them for a tour - they know the good spots and can talk to you about them and (depending on just how good) will tell you all about cultural and political Vietnam as wel. We had one of these and he was fantastic!
