Question:

How easy is it to get a job as a FedEx Package handler?

I went in for the tour... Went back a couple days later and filled out application and was interviewed. They said they were going to go ahead and do a background check (that should be clear except for some problems with credit if they even check that). How long does it usually take for them to call back? It's only been under a week, I am just wondering about other's experiences.

  1. Oh they would have called you already. If I were you I would beg the manager to give you the flipping job back if possible.

  2. it really just depends especially on when and where they need people. some of my coworkers were hired a few days to weeks after being interviewed, i was hired after 6months and my father worked for fedex for 20+yrs and it still took a while to hire me on.

good news for you fedex kicks up their staff around now till thanksgiving to be ready for peak season. if you get hired you're gonna love it boxes from the floor to the lights you'll have to load into the containers. i was lucky enough to be hired right during peak 2 weeks before xmas they just tossed me into the chaos.

anyways i'd call back every so often so they see you are really wanting to work there, just ask if they filled their openings etc...try to suck up to the managers and stuff

  3. According to my friend, her 60 year old grandad was just hired to be a driver..... yeah he is 60 years old, but he is strong as an ox. Anyway, she said he was hired fairly quickly. But that can change from location to location, and manger to manager. Some people take forever to hire a candidate, and others jump on it faster. It just depends on the location, and the people at that location.

    Good Luck!
