How easy is it to go from Terminal 2E to 2F at Charles DeGaulle airport?

I only have 1 hr 15 min for the connecting flight. I will be flying from Houston to India through Paris by Air France. Do you have to go through security or customs at Paris? What happens if the incoming flight is delayed and I miss the connection.

CDG airport and Air France are the subject of a lot of complaints concerning connecting flights.

Its a very big airport, its laid out in a very confusing manner and the fact that terminal 2E collapsed a while back and is, as I understand it, still in the proces of being rebuilt (completion expected in 2008) can't help the situation.

Most of the complaints seem to be about baggage but one wonders if all these people are just being difficult:

I've been in CDG many, many times but never to get a connecting flight so I don't know for sure but if it were me I'd want to make sure that I had more than 75 minutes to get from any place in the airport to any other place.

There are frequent buses to go from a terminal to another, but I think you can go on foot in 5 minutes from 2E to 2F because they are close to, about 200/300 meters !

But ..... you'll have to wait a couple of minutes to take back your luggage when you land....and also you need to register 1 hour before the next flight...so no time too lose and hope for you your first flight will not be late....unless you have only one ticket for all your trip. In that case, your luggage will be transfered automatically....but ask before to be sure.

In France, many things are supposed to be done, but the right foot doesn't always knows what the left one is doing (french word)

You'd better inform to your company if you can take the next flight in case of problems. It depends on the company and your ticket I suppose.

Buses run betweens all terminals, so 1:15h is enough to change yr flights. If you are travelling with 1 tkt, you don't need to go thru customs .

If the incoming flight is too late and you have only 1 tkt, the airline is responsable to book you on the next flight, to cater you and -in the worst case -  to accomodate you on their expenses.
