  1. It's not easy for anyone to migrate to Australia. Everyone, regardless of their origin must have skills, qualifications and experience in an occupation in which workers are in demand in Australia and which is listed on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL). They must pass a points test and meet health, character and English language requirements. Most types of teacher are listed on the SOL, so so you need to check out the points test to see if you are likely to qualify for a visa.

    Go to:

http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1121... (the SOL and English language requirements)

    http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/a-z.htm#t (skills recognition)

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-s...

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm (all other immigration information)

Time taken will depend on how many applications are in the pipeline, but you should expect it to take at least 12 months and probably longer.

Cost depends on the type of visa and is included on pages accessible from the last link above.

  2. it would be quite tough , it depends what your were teaching , normally you would have to be sponsered by a employer . they also have a points system so certain professions are more sought after so they get more points have a look at the goverment website  au.gov.com , try to get a job before you go over so you can get a tempoary visa

  3. Yes, Australia is hard to migrate to, however it seems you  might have the upper hand, a teacher you say.  However, because Australia is the one importing, you might have a better chance if you told them you were a builder, or a nurse, thats what we really need. Also it takes a few years to become a citizen, if thats what you wanted.

  4. to immigrate to Australia you must be skilled and experienced in a field Australia needs and you must pass a skill test to qualify,it can be a long expensive process fees are around 5 thousand AU dollars plus medical test fees

  5. So if you are Indian then you would be coming from India. Go to your local Australian embassy and they will tell you everything. Look up the immigration website to see the cost of different visas
