I have two empty bottles of Wellbutrin and Zoloft..on the bottles it says "refills: 3." Do I just take the empty containers into my pharmacy?

Also, if I switch pharmacies will I just do the same and give them my insurance card?

  1. If you're refilling them at the same pharmacy, you just need to call the pharmacy number on the pill bottle.

If you switch pharmacies, yes,, just bring in the bottle. They will ask for the card.

  2. There should be a phone number on the bottle.  Call that number, tell them the prescription number.  They will either tell you to bring the bottle in, or they'll sometimes mail prescriptions to you and have you pay for them with a credit card.

Yes...if you switch pharmacies they'll need your insurance information, unless it's a chain of pharmacies that has or information on file.  I think Walgreens has a system where you can get pills at any of their branches as long as you have the prescription on the bottle.

  3. Most pharmacies also offer on line refills.  I order from walmart on line.  You can also phone it in and they will give you directions over the phone.  If you want to transfer them to a new pharmacy you will have to call your current pharmacy and give them the info to the new pharmacy and they will call and have them transfered.
