How long would it take/how difficult would it be for an uncle in the UK to adopt his niece upon death of both of her parents?

  2. It is called relative placement and any attorney should be able to help.

    But, you should make those arrangements before the parents die.

  3. Probably a solicitor would be the best person to ask in this situation...if you were named in the will, you are considered the "guardian" so the paperwork is just a formality.

  4. It would be much easier than if you weren't related.

  5. It should be pretty easy, she should go to the next of kin anyways.  If she is sepose to go to another family member it could take a while to prove that you'de be the best gardian for her.  Good luck.
