Question:

How educated is the average voter?

I read through some of these questions and it is obvious that many are simply reciting bumper sticker slogans and have no real understanding of history, government, or the political process. And I don't mean to start a flame war so please do not start slinging mud. But when I see interviews and they state they are going to vote a certain way and then when asked why...they can't say?!!! I actually saw a woman claim she was going to vote for Obama because she thought he could fix the pot holes in the city streets!!!!

  1. White working class Republican voters are less college educated, especially in the South, especially where they have Confederate flags on their pickup trucks and guns in their gun racks in their pickup rear window and empty beer cans in the bed of the pickup.

  2. Look in the real world.

How they wear executive suit with a tie.

Observe how they make use of the tissue paper.

While along the highway or in the streets

    After use.

They just chuck it out and litter the highway or the streets.

    As litter bugs.

Instead of having a plastic bag in the car in holding the rubbish and throw it at the nearest rubbish bin.

    Luke 8.10,17

    What do you think?

  3. Voter education should become a priority.  Too often do people vote for who they are told to vote for, or within their party line.  We need to be putting our towns, counties, districts, states, and country before our party and ensure that the best candidate gets the job!!!

  4. Not very.

  5. Well, gee, how educated do you think the people were who voted Bush into office?  TWICE?

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, can't, uh, can't fool me again.

  6. VERY FEW ARE EDUCATED IN WHAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ----PERSONALLY I THINK EVERYONE  SHOULD PASS A TEST TO EARN THE RIGHT TO VOTE . YOU CAN'T DRIVE A CAR , OPERATE HEAVY EQUIPMENT , CARRY A GUN , AND SO MANY OTHER THINGS UNTIL YOU PASS A TEST TO PROVE YOUR ABILITY ------I THINK THIS COUNTRY'S FUTURE IS TOO IMPORTANT TO TRUST TO UN-EDUCATED ( IN POLITICS ) JUST BECAUSE YOU WERE BORN HERE . MOST FOLLOW A SINGLE PARTY AND VOTE 100% DEM-REP. FEW WILL TELL YOU THEY SPLIT THERE TICKET . MOST ARE LABEL VOTERS ----INSTEAD OF WHO IS BEST QUALIFIED . AND MOST DON'T KNOW THAT GAS PRICES ARE NOT THE PRESIDENTS FAULT , OR HUR. KATRINA AND NEW ORLEANS , WHICH NEITHER ARE THE PRESIDENTS FAULT ------I DAMM SURE DON'T WANT A GOVERNMENT SO BIG AND INTO YOUR BUSINESS IT DOES EVERYTHING ( THAT'S COMMIE ) AND ALL TO MANY THINK THE PRESIDENT IS A CURE ALL FOR THERE STATE OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT . JUST LIKE ALMOST ALL UNIONS PUSH THE DEMS. AS DOES THE NAACP AND THE SHEEP FOLLOW .

  7. Most native born citizens of the U.S would have great difficulty passing the test given to those resident aliens who are seeking to be naturalized citizens. The overwhelming majority of adults in America have never read the Constitution. A majority are not even registered to vote. A majority can't name their local Member of Congress.

Don't think badly of that lady. She is just the product of Pavlovian conditioning we have gone through since the Spring of 1933, where we look upon the President as some sort of Federal Wizard King, rather than the person who has to perform the duties set forth in Article Two of the Constitution.

  8. Most could not pass the entrance exam for the 1st grade

  9. 85% 0f U.S. Citizens function on a 7th grade level.

  10. "The best arguement against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter." - Winston Churchill

Hope that sums it up for you.

  11. I think your last sentence illustrates many in society.  A lot of the general public is indeed ignorant about the workings of government and what a president can and cannot do.  Most do not really understand how government works, much less the nuances of the political process.

I could really care less for whom you vote for, but I too would like to see voters actually know why they are voting for a particular person.  This applies to both parties.

  12. Hey larry, just what is your high and mighty education? You stereotype the south and just show how much of an idiot you are.
