  1. Great way to fill-in on college hrs. you might not have time for in your fast pace life. Just don't make it your major base.Inter-viewers will give you the old fisheye if you told them you got your degree over the inter-net.

  2. The effectiveness is directly proportional to the work you are prepared to put in.

  4. good if you have a profesor. taking one righr noe.

  5. If you are considering taking courses in a traditional brick and mortar establishment from a well known school and you like the classroom learning environment, I recommend attending classes, receiving homework, and the face-to-face interaction with people.  I believe this method is far more effective and helps inspire more discipline, teamwork, and understanding of the material studied.

If you are a self starter who truly has the discipline to work on your own, needs flexibility with time, and are computer savvy, I would say you are a good candidate for online classes and coursework.  I believe online class work is challenging and develops the ability to do projects on your own and enhances ebusiness learning in a much different way than attending a traditional university, though most traditional universities have an acute understanding and have integrated their expectation for the use of modern technology throughout course curriculums.

Depending on the school you choose, either education could be a higher cost than the other.  On average, online universities cost more, but really depends on the university.

I recommend you start with your choice of degree program (there are many online questionnaires for people who want to know what they are best suited for if you don’t know). Then narrow your choices for traditional and online universities. For traditional schools, your decision may be based largely or solely on its proximity to your home, but try to be objective about the quality of the learning experience as well.  For online schools, you could attend anywhere, but be sure it is regionally accredited.  Which region probably won’t matter, but there are six regional accreditors.  Personally, they shouldn’t matter if you find the curriculum and quality you are looking for.

I also highly recommend you look at the school’s mission statement to find one you are comfortable with. If you want a conservative environment, be sure to get into one or you will likely always be outnumbered in debates. Schools’ views, affiliations and partnerships should be somewhere close to this area on their website as well.

Once you have narrowed it down, look at cost.  I recommend you look at cost last because you will not be satisfied with your learning environment if you enroll in a school you don’t like.

I am an adult student.  I went through a similar process to find my school of choice. Though I would prefer to attend a traditional school, be surrounded with the academic environment and the college experience, I have a family to support and cannot stop working to attend school.  I like my university and it is located outside of my accreditation region.

I hope this answer helps you cut some of the time and agony out of your search and decision process.
