Question:

How effective are squats?

so i have a day where my workout basically is squat, calf raise and abs (maybe glute ham raise added in somewhere)

ive just seen something called zercher squats and i was wondering how good are they? can i replace my back squat with zercher squats for a few weeks? or maybe i should just add it in somewhere on the same day?

  1. nvr hrd of them.. stick 2 back squats... or buy this machine called VERTIMAX for leg explosion.. it works quite well..


  2. I say stick to squats. To me, zerchers have more cons than pros. They seem like they can mess up your elbows a lot.

    Good ol fashioned squats are the way to go

  3. strength is always a plus, but nothing will be more effective than technique.. master your technique & focus on that most of all.. strength will come after that. sqauts are probably one of the best leg work outs you can do though.. also powercleans, trains your explosiveness.
