  1. They are trying to come across as serving healty food items, but everyone knows that they are not! It turns me off when they do that, becuase it seems like they are trying to trick the public.

  2. I hate McDonald's food, so for me they have no effect other then to annoy me.

  3. I think that McDonalds' commercials are extremely effective to younger children, because children tend to have the urge to do something that another child is doing. For instance, if a child is misbehaving, another child most likely has the urge to misbehave.

I don't think that they are effective for adults, but if adults want to eat McDonalds, there is no need for the commercials, they will just go and eat.

But for the youth of America, I think there is a message that is being driven into our head, that, "McDonalds has the best food, and it's good for you!" There is that constant argument that McDonalds is not good for you. The defense is the fact that McDonalds is coming out with 'healthier' options, such as their Asian Chicken Salad, which has high fat artificial chicken, -- still not good for you.

In conclusion, I think that the commercials are putting a message in our childrens' heads that McDonalds is good. But for adults, if they want to eat it, they don't need a commercial to motivate them.

  4. Fairly ineffective as far as bringing people in.  But then, they are, for the most part, designed to bring in new employees and not customers.

McDonald's doesn't taste very good.  And most adults know this because their taste buds have matured to a point that they can taste it.

McDonald's was geared more toward kids, with free toys in a happy meal and with salt and sugar-laden foods.  The reason they do so well even with ineffective advertising is that children keep pressing to go there over other restaurants because they would get a free toy.

The only advertising that McDonald's needs to bring in customers is to make sure that the toy they advertise will be popular; related to the latest awesome kids' movie.  Like they did with Shrek and the straight-to-DVD Barbie and Hot Wheels movies.

They don't usually try to bring people in with advertising, but new workers.  And I think it works.  The girl who gets up early to make biscuits and that makes her father proud.  The kid who starts as a line worker or cashier and eventually becomes vice president of some larger part of McDonald's.  These are their target, not customers.

Kids are their customers, parents are just along for the ride.

  5. McWho?

  6. oonly stupid people believe in those commercials

  7. They obviously are effective because they are the major fast food restaurant around, and they don't even taste good. You turn on the TV to any show, sports, dramas, movies and their commercials are there. Also they sponsor a lot of stuff.

  8. they can be entertaining where i live but not effective, most are stupid i mean what 14 yr old wants to watch a 9 yr old girl at camp try to open a plastic bag?

  9. Hey Mickey Dees dont need no commercials!!!

  10. i think there effective too people...luv mcds

  11. Considering the fact that they have sold over a billion hamburgers, I'd say the commercials are pretty effective.  Cause you gotta know it isn't based off the quality of their product. eck!

  12. i do not own a tv and hate every mcd's commecrial i see and this has nothing to do with my prior employment there.  that being said...

i effing love there food so much.  i bought for double cheese burgers today b-cuz they r so cheap.  omg then i ate 3 baconators from wendys.  thats y i didnt eat more double cheese (or chez liek the recepit says lol!) b-cuz i had the baconator and my mouth exploded and baconjizzy goodness!

  13. They sometimes are pretty stupid, because they say they are healthy when they're not

  14. I think McDonalds commercials are really good for children because they do the whole cartoon thing and get the trees and the bees and whatever toy they're selling right at that moment to talk and also it convinces the parent that the food is healthy and that makes the parent want to send their kid there. So yes, I think if an adult is looking for a quick meal with thier kids or if they are out for a meal they might remember the ad and send their kids to McDs.

  15. very effective

  16. I think McDonalds has pretty decent commercials, if I didn't see the commercials, I wouldn't eat there. Their commercials are not stupid, without them even smart-alecks wouldn't know what exactly they have, and what's new there. Sorry, maybe your paper should be on controversy and difference of opinions.LOL! JK!

    Good Luck!
