  1. IVE GOT TO SAY BACK IN THE EARLY 90S GLASS WAS RECYCLED AROUND HERE IN MIDDLEPORT AND PAYED A LIL BIT,BUT NOW NOT WORTH ANYTHING AND HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO DISPOSE OF IT..IVE GOT AN OLD TUB FULL OF CLEAR GLASS AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT..IF INTERESTED IN IT GET IN TOUCH WITH ME THRU EMAIL!!

  2. Glass is relatively harmless and inert and not a big problem at a landfill and it is relatively cheap and easy to produce.  It is not significantly cheaper to reuse glass than to produce it from sand.  I think you will agree that there is essentially an endless supply of sand to make glass so for me it is not that big of a deal.  Other substances such as aluminum certainly makes a great deal more sense to recycle IMO.

  3. You'd end up with a lot of waste that might be usable as fill material.   A little window glass will ruin a ton of bottle glass for recycling.    People who don't believe in recycling will throw that along with most anything else they want to get rid of into recycling bins.   If you could find a clean source of glass bottles and make, say fiberglass insulation out of it, it might be a good business.

  4. effective yes, profitable no. You don't get much for glass per pound.

  5. Great idea although I would like to see everybody especially in England and United states do glass recycling, well done on your idea! x

  6. glass is not used that often anymore. Not sure how much longer you will see glass produced bottles etc..

Find a way to convert plastic into cheap, energy efficient insulation that can be blown into the walls.
