Question:

How else can this be interpreted if not Desperate?

A small girl sensed a bad vibe from a guy three times her size upon first meeting him.

He persistently came up to her. She tried to appear neutral, but his "friendly" act quickly turned sexual and intimidating, albeit the fact he was engaged.

She started ignoring him and he then tried to demean her in hopes of getting a reaction...she continued to stay away.

He initially looked at her sheepishly even though she blatantly ignored him, but...

Now he just stares at her all the time...while she ignores him. It's to the point that she can't even look at him out simply out of disgust...yet, he has no qualms with still staring at her, even getting really close to stare at her.

Why does he not have any shame and what is she to do when he does this?

  1. That really sucks for her.  If she is brave, maybe she could threaten to tell his fiance about his advances.  Hopefully, in time, he will get the point and leave her alone.  Is there any way she could avoid seeing this person?

  2. He no doubt is trying to intimidate her, and make herr feel uncomfortable.  This is not desperation.  It is close to assault, from a legal perspective.

  3. It is desperate. And your friends instincts are good.

I'm not sure why some men behave this way. He could be so fixated on his own desire for her that he doesn't see her discomfort. Or it could be his way of getting back at her for rejecting him, his way of having a little passive-aggressive power over her.

All I can say is his wife-to-be is going to have a heck of a life!

  4. unfortunately the only way you can get him to stop is to embarrass him by going up to him and telling him to stop staring and that it is unacceptable, ask him why he continues to do such. Where is this taking place? school, college, office, a hangout?

in the case where he refuses to comply is to tell someone of authority.

    Remember feminism always wins :)

  5. can we say "restraining order"? She should contact an attorney/ police asap.

  6. It is because he is a pedophile.  The small girl needs to tell her parents...if they have not already noticed... and they need to make sure this man is no where near her and NEVER EVER left alone with her.
