Hi,

When a paystub is generated by employer, it shows various deductions such as Social Security tax, Medicare Tax, etc.

Now this deduction means the tax that employee pays to the govt.

Can anyone tell me how employer pays these taxes to govt?

Is the employer paying taxes at the same time when every paystub is generated? I mean how does it work exacly & where do employer pay taxes to govt?

Thanks!

  1. Just a guess-

I don't think the employer is paying taxes as each paystub is generated. I think employers (at least some) pay income taxes 4x a year. They have tax forms to fill out, which they do, and they send withheld funds to the IRS.
