Question:

How exactly do judge shows work?

So I want to sue somebody, and I'd like to apply to a judge show so I actually get paid.

Do I have to get the other person to agree to the show?

Do we have to travel to wherever the judge is, or do they come to you?

Will the show pay for travel expenses like a hotel?

  1. You have to go to the show. What makes you think you will actually get paid?

They will not pay for your expenses.

The shows are not real courts, they are small claims arbitration.

Everyone who is going on it has to agree, it is arbitration, and it is also televised.

  2. It depends on the show, but in general, it goes like this:  both parties have to sign an arbitration agreement, which says that they waive their right to go to court and agree to abide by the TV judge's decision instead.  You may or may not get paid an appearance fee, it depends on the case.  You have to travel to the studio, most of them are in Hollywood or New York.  I don't think they pay travel expenses, but I don't know.

  3. You sign a contract (also the other person involved) and go on TV and act like an idiot. They do not pay your expenses. You get a judgement paid if the case goes your way.

  4. i think  all you need to be is white trash
