How exactly does the SD Card work on the Wii?

I am going to get a new Wii and I want to get some games from the old Wii onto the new one. For example, Need For Speed Carbon won't fit on a 2 Gegabyte SD Card. So can I just get the progress from my old Wii and put it on the new one? And will it take up less space? Thank You SO MUCH!

You can't copy games themselves from one Wii to another, but you can definitely move that game save data over. And don't worry, it doesn't take anywhere near 2 GB of space. The only trick is that you have to play the game once on the new Wii, then delete the save file it creates, then copy the one that you put on the SD card over to the console.
